Tuesday 15 July 2025 Reception discover Lichfield's history Thank you @jonos_tourism for a fabulous historical, tailor-made tour around Lichfield last week. The Reception pupils learnt about the people behind our House names - Garrick, Johnson, Darwin and Barber. Monday 14 July 2025 Trinity Term Music-Making Round Up Well, what a musical term it has been! Almost as soon as we had returned from the Easter holidays then Years 5 & 6 were back in action, singing superbly as ever for the Dementia-Friendly Service in the Cathedral on Wednesday 30 April. We have built a really amazing partnership up with these services with pupils performing two songs, preparing gifts for the guests attending, and writing and reading prayers. You can see the palpable difference it makes to those suffering from this cruel illness as their response to the children is really heart-warming. The term ended as it begun as Year 5 & 6 pupils have taken part in the second Dementia-Friendly Service of the term, which was a joyful Songs of Praise, with hymns chosen by many of those attending from residential care homes.

Saturday 5 July 2025 Arthur's double football success Arthur (Year 2) was absolutely delighted to have participated in a football tournament at Shrewsbury Town - Arthur will explain in his own words: "At the weekend I played for Barnhurst Lane Lions Football Club in a tournament at Shrewsbury Town Football Club. There were 14 teams competing for the Croud Meadow Cup. My team played 6 qualifying matches, winning 4 and losing 2, resulting in us finishing 3rd in our league and qualifying for the knockout stages.

Friday 4 July 2025 Primary Years Sports Day at Longdon Last Thursday, pupils from Years 1 to 6 took part in an action-packed Longdon Sports Day, competing in their house teams across a range of exciting activities. From sprint races and long jump, to egg and spoon, skipping, and the ever-popular obstacle course, the children showcased brilliant enthusiasm, teamwork and determination throughout the day.
