Investigative science on shuffle day
We recently had fun in Science on shuffle day (the day when the new pupils joining us in September in Year 7 spend the day in School with the current Year 6 pupils).
Pupils came to the labs and learned about the structure and function of DNA and then made models of DNA using sweets. They used microscopes to view different tissues found in both plants and animals. Students found slides of kidney and skin tissue particularly interesting. Maybe we have some future pathologists or geneticists!
