Ilam residential adventure for Year 3
We are thrilled to share the highlights of Year 3's recent residential trip to Ilam in Derbyshire, which was filled with adventure and unforgettable experiences!
Over the course of two action-packed days, Year 3 engaged in a variety of activities that challenged their teamwork skills and fostered a sense of community. The itinerary included exhilarating orienteering sessions where students navigated through the beautiful countryside, honing their map-reading skills while exploring the stunning natural landscape.
The excitement didn't stop there; the children also participated in rocket building, unleashing their creativity and scientific curiosity as they constructed and launched their own rockets. In addition to these activities, the children enjoyed peaceful countryside walks, taking in the fresh air and picturesque views. These moments allowed them to bond with their classmates and appreciate the beauty of nature surrounding them.
One of the highlights of the trip was the unexpected visit from a charming dragonfly, which hitched a ride on a backpacks. This delightful guest captivated the children, who were both amused and fascinated by its presence. It was a wonderful opportunity for the children to observe nature up close and engage in discussions about this beautiful creature.
Overall, the residential trip was a remarkable experience that allowed Year 3 to grow as a team, learn new skills, and create lasting memories. We are incredibly proud of all of the children for their enthusiasm and teamwork throughout the trip.
