Monday Choirs through MusicShare

From September, all of MusicShare's community choirs will rehearse on Mondays during term time.

Mini Voices for ages 0-5 and their parent/guardian meet from 10am to 11am in the Explorer Hut in Beacon Park, just opposite the Shaw Lane car park.

This introduction to music through singing and using instruments is led by an early years music specialist.  The emphasis is on fun, but the children quickly pick up the basics of sound, rhythm, tempo and melody while trying different types of music-making instruments.

Young Voices for ages 6-11 rehearses from 4.30pm to 5.30pm in Minster Hall, Lichfield Cathedral School's Performing Arts Centre on Dam Street in Lichfield, close to the Bird Street car park.  This is a non-edition choir that sings a wide range of music from choral to pop.  Young Voices have sung in Lichfield Cathedral, Birmingham's Symphony Hall and Covent Garden and regularly take part in community operas and shows alongside other choirs.

Youth Voices for ages 12-18 rehearses from 5.45pm to 6.45pm in Minster Hall, Lichfield Cathedral School's Performing Arts Centre on Dam Street in Lichfield, close to the Bird Street car park.  This is a non-edition choir that undertakes a wide repertoire and regularly performs at the Cathedral, at venues across the diocese and beyond. The most recent trip was to sing Evensong at Merton College, Oxford.

Ladies Who Lark for ages 18+ rehears from 11.30am-12.30pm in the Explorer Hut in Beacon Park, just opposite the Shaw Lane car park. The focus of this non-audition choir is to have fun and enjoy the multiple benefits of singing with like-minded others.

Membership of Mini Voices, Young Voices, Youth Voices and Ladies Who Lark costs just £48 + VAT for each term, which will include a minimum of 10 sessions.

City of Sanctuary Voices for all ages rehearses at 5.45pm-6.45pm in Minster Hall, Lichfield Cathedral School's Performing Arts Centre on Dam Street in Lichfield, close to the Bird Street car park. This fully funded choir sings traditional Ukrainian music and other songs. All ages are welcome, but children must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
