World Challenge South Africa preparations
The countdown has begun for the students preparing for their World Challenge South Africa expedition in July, including an exciting and interactive Training Day, where they met their Expedition Leader, Aiden, for the first time.
The day marked an important step in their journey, giving students a real taste of what to expect from their upcoming adventure. Through a variety of hands-on activities and discussions, students explored their expedition itinerary, gaining insight into the different phases of the trip and the experiences that lie ahead.
Students also learned about essential kit and packing, discovering how to prepare effectively for life on expedition. A strong focus was placed on teamwork, leadership, and communication, with students taking part in activities designed to build trust, problem-solving skills, and group cohesion.
The Training Day challenged students to think about the realities of expedition life, from managing daily responsibilities to overcoming physical and mental challenges in unfamiliar environments. These sessions helped to build confidence, resilience, and independence - key qualities for a successful expedition.
Overall, the day was full of energy and enthusiasm, leaving students feeling inspired, better prepared, and even more excited for their South African adventure this summer.
