Welcoming new Choristers

The Choristers and Choral Scholars enjoyed a very busy first week of term, but were able to relax and spend time together at our family evening last week.

As always, we were treated to a delicious selection of food prepared by Lee Goodgame, Catering Manager, and his team. It was a wonderful opportunity for everyone to come together and warmly welcome the families of our new choristers: Ben, Ella and Rowan.

Sunday's Evensong was a particularly special occasion as we also celebrated several important milestones in the life of the choir. Leo, Alice and Felix were commissioned as Head Choristers, while Samuel and Erin were commissioned as Deputy Head Choristers. We look forward to seeing them embrace their leadership roles and support the choir throughout the coming year.

Ava, Tatenda, Lucas, Jayce and Sophia were installed into the Cathedral Choir Foundation as Full Choristers. Meanwhile, Francesca, Alina, Arjen and Isobel continue with their choir journey as Choral Scholars. Austin and Milly will also continue their association with the choir and were commissioned into their roles as Head Choristers Emeriti.

We are looking forward to an exciting term ahead, which will include a tour of Belgium with our Senior Choristers and Choral Scholars in October.

If you would like to hear the choir sing, please do come along to the Cathedral. The choir sings Evensong each Tuesday to Friday at 5.30pm, and on Sundays at the 10.30am Eucharist and 3.30pm Evensong.
