Vikings ho! with Year 4

Last Monday, Year 4 enjoyed an interactive Vikings Day, starting with some immersive drama. The children re-enacted different Anglo-Saxon and Viking scenes: we sailed in longships; hid from fearsome monsters; and dined with ancient Royalty.

The activities continued into the afternoon, where we baked rustic Viking bread to take home; made our own Bronze-aged jewellery out of clay; designed our own battle shields; wrote our names and decoded secret messages in runes; and built some super longships.

The children behaved beautifully all day and it was fantastic to see them having so much fun engaged in their learning. Well done Year 4!
