U9 Girls' Netball vs Highclare
Our U9 girls played their first netball fixture of the year on Friday against Highclare. This was an especially exciting occasion as it was the first time the girls had played together as a team, and they approached the afternoon with lots of enthusiasm and excitement.
We played three short games against three different Highclare teams. The girls were keen to try new positions and embraced the opportunity to learn and challenge themselves across the court. In the first game, the girls settled quickly and worked hard to support one another, resulting in a fantastic 1–0 win. The second and third games proved more challenging against strong opposition, with scores of 6–0 and 4–0 to Highclare. Despite the results, the girls showed great determination, resilience, and a positive attitude throughout all three matches.
Overall, it was a very encouraging first outing for the team. The girls listened well, supported each other, and gained valuable match experience that will be a great foundation for the rest of the season.
Player of the Game: Sophia, for her excellent performances at GS and GA. Sophia scored with her very first shot and led the team confidently as one of our older players, setting a great example for her teammates.
