U18 Netball - Girls

Our U18 girls travelled to face Dixie Grammar in what was their very first outing together, having never trained or played as a team before. Despite the unfamiliar line-up, the squad - captained confidently by Molly D - showed excellent determination and teamwork throughout.

The match began tightly, with the first quarter ending 2–3 to Dixie. As the game progressed, Dixie capitalised on their experience, extending the lead to 4–11 by halftime. The third quarter saw our girls begin to settle and build rhythm, reducing errors and linking play well, finishing the period 11–17. The final score of 12–22 reflected Dixie's consistency, but not the spirit and progress shown by our players.

At no point did the girls drop their heads; they worked tirelessly, blended impressively as a new team, and showed real promise for future fixtures.

Player of the Game: Ruby C, chosen by Dixie's teacher for her GD performance.
A very encouraging first match together, with lots to build on moving forward.
