U18 Girls' Netball vs KES

Our U18 Girls faced King Edward VI (KES) in a competitive and well-fought fixture, showing resilience and composure throughout the match. The first quarter was evenly contested, with both teams settling quickly into the game. Strong defensive pressure at both ends meant scoring opportunities were hard earned, and the quarter ended level at 4–4.

In the second quarter, LCS began to find greater fluidity through the court. Consistent hard work from Rosie in Centre helped to drive play forward and maintain momentum, allowing us to edge ahead to 6–4 at halftime. The third quarter saw a real shift in intensity. Our defensive unit tightened up brilliantly (Izzy & Ruby), creating turnovers and feeding the ball cleanly into the shooting circle. Fantastic shooting from Immy, Holly and Liv ensured that these opportunities were converted confidently, and LCS extended their lead significantly to 13–5.

Heading into the final quarter with strong momentum, the girls continued to apply pressure and play with confidence. Captain Ruby led by example, maintaining high standards and encouraging her teammates throughout. The team finished with an impressive 19–9 victory.

A special mention goes to Molly, who was awarded Girl of the Game in her first netball fixture for LCS - a fantastic achievement and a well-deserved recognition.
