U13 Tennis at the National Tennis Centre

U13 tennis team - consisting of Teddy, Harvey, Callum, and Alex - travelled to Nottingham to compete in the regional finals of the LTA Youth Schools Competition recently. After a strong league stage, the boys secured their place in the finals through skill, determination, teamwork, and commitment.

Despite arriving on a wet and gloomy morning, the team took to the indoor courts for their opening match against George Spencer Academy of Nottingham. The standard of play was exceptionally high, and although they fought hard, the team unfortunately lost.

This result meant they were then competing for 3rd place in their next match against the Dragon School of Oxford. Once again, the level of tennis was outstanding. Although the team suffered another defeat, they demonstrated great perseverance and determination, refusing to give up.

While the results didn’t turn out as hoped, the team still enjoyed a fantastic day and gained valuable experience from the competition. Well done!
