U13 Football vs Dixie Grammar

Lichfield Cathedral School's U13 Football Team produced a superb all-round performance recently in an emphatic 7–2 victory over Dixie Grammar.

From the first whistle, LCS played with fluency and tactical intelligence, moving the ball confidently through the thirds and demonstrating an excellent understanding of shape and spacing. The team’s ability to control possession and transition quickly into attack proved too much for the opposition to handle.

There were standout performances across the pitch, particularly from the defensive unit and spine of the team. Henry A and Alex D were assured at the back, reading the game intelligently, stepping in to break up play and building attacks from defence with calm, purposeful distribution. In midfield, Joe R controlled proceedings at centre midfield, linking defence and attack with tireless energy and clever passing. Leading the line, Hugo C was clinical in front of goal, producing an outstanding display and scoring four of LCS’s seven goals to crown a superb team performance.

Despite conceding twice, LCS remained focused and disciplined, responding positively each time and maintaining their high standards. The 7–2 scoreline was a fair reflection of a dominant and cohesive performance built on teamwork, confidence and tactical prowess.
A fantastic result and a performance of which the squad can be very proud.
