Primary Years Sports Day at Longdon
Last Thursday, pupils from Years 1 to 6 took part in an action-packed Longdon Sports Day, competing in their house teams across a range of exciting activities. From sprint races and long jump, to egg and spoon, skipping, and the ever-popular obstacle course, the children showcased brilliant enthusiasm, teamwork and determination throughout the day.
We were lucky to enjoy glorious sunshine, and it was fantastic to see so many parents on the side lines, cheering the pupils on and adding to the vibrant atmosphere. Year 9 and 10 students did a brilliant job running stations and supporting the younger year groups – their leadership and encouragement were greatly appreciated.
The catering team kept everyone well-fed with a delicious selection of hotdogs, burgers, and ice cream, adding to the celebratory spirit of the day.
