Learning about Islam

Mrs Hannam and I had the pleasure of taking Year 10 and Year 11 Religious Studies students to Lichfield Mosque and Islamic Centre recently. Imam Asad and his wife Aysha were incredibly welcoming and informative.
We enjoyed a tour of the mosque and students learnt a great deal about the beliefs and practices of Islam. Students had the opportunity to ask questions and discuss philosophical topics with the Imam. Imam Asad is a strong advocate for interfaith dialogue, bringing communities together through open conversation, mutual understanding, and respect.
Both Imam Asad and Aysha commented on how well behaved and well-spoken our students always are when we visit as a school. We are very proud of them!
