LCS hosts Friends2Friends Awards
LCS had the great pleasure of hosting the Friends2Friends annual Awards Evening in Minster Hall just before our half term break. The hall looked spectacular for the event which was a joyful celebration of the many achievements and successes of group members.
The event began with a delicious cream tea prepared and served by group leaders. This was followed by numerous award categories including History and Art Group Awards and special awards for service to the group and kindness to group members.
LCS has been working in partnership with Friends2 Friends over a number of years. Our students have run a Ukelele Club for members and the group has taken great delight in being part of the MusicShare concerts in the Cathedral. Future plans include encouraging more students to volunteer with the group, sharing their knowledge and expertise in various hobby and crafting areas.
We would also like to offer further support to next year’s awards ceremony with catering and serving support. If any students are keen to get involved by offering activities or simply volunteering to help please let Mr Chamberlin know.
The Awards evening was full of joy and excitement and was a truly memorable event for group members – Minster Hall looked spectacular with its lighting, visuals and sound all helping to add spectacle to the event. A big thank you to everyone who helped put the event together including the LCS Facilities team who organised for tables to be available. Here’s to the next one!
