International cricket experience

Pupils in Years 7–9 enjoyed an exciting evening of international cricket at The Central Co-op County Ground on Wednesday 20th May, watching England secure a fantastic victory over the New Zealand women with seven wickets in hand. Highlights of the match included impressive boundary hitting and a brilliant first-ball wicket from England’s Lauren Bell, which created a fantastic atmosphere among the crowd.

Students fully embraced the occasion, enthusiastically supporting the teams with their boundary cards and enjoying the opportunity to purchase ECB merchandise. Their behaviour throughout the trip was excellent, and they were a real credit to the school. The evening provided a memorable experience for all involved and a wonderful opportunity for pupils to experience live international sport.
