DofE Bronze training day

On Saturday 17th May the Year 10s had their first Duke of Edinburgh Bronze Award  training day. The students worked together for the day in their groups and completed training on first aid, nutrition, map reading and stove training.

After lunch, the students went on a short circular walk in the local area where they tested their map reading and navigation skills, before heading back to Longdon to set up their tents. Well done to all those who took part in the training and demonstrated good navigation skills.
