DoE Silver training expedition

In the holiday, a group of Year 11 students completed the training for the Duke of Edinburgh Silver Expedition that will take place at the end of the summer term.

For three days and two nights the group walked in the Peak District, camping each evening and honing their skills in navigation and self-sufficiency.  The group was blessed with lovely weather during the day (countered by some chilly nights!) and the whole trip was a resounding success.
