Congratulations to Toby on his commission

Congratulations to Toby (Year 8) who was recently commissioned into the role of Deputy Head Chorister in Lichfield Cathedral Choir Foundation.

Toby is pictured with Canon Precentor, The Revd Andrew Stead and Director of Music, Mr Ben Lamb.

A Deputy Head Chorister is an experienced, committed member of the trebles who is responsible for assisting the Head Choristers and the Director of Music in looking after the Choir, especially the Probationers, and making sure the trebles are neat and tidy before services.

Alongside the Head Choristers, a Deputy Head Chorister is also tasked with maintaining the Choir's reputation and ensuring the Choristers are well-prepared for their roles.  They play a pivotal role in the acts of worship, contributing to the Choir's musical foundation and professional training.
