Congratulations Phoebe!

Phoebe (Year 12) swapped her hockey stick for sailing gloves during half term. She spent the week sailing from the River Medway in Kent near the historic Chatham Dockyard obtaining her RYA Competent Crew certification in some pretty gusty conditions.

As well as completing man overboard skills, Phoebe had to navigate around some large cargo ships, an American wreck complete with 1,400 tons of unexploded munitions from World War II (SS Richard Montgomery) and even  an old Russian submarine (U-475 Black Widow, thankfully no longer in use). Well done, Phoebe!
