Congratulations Laurie!

Laurie H joined the Royal College of Organists junior course in London this summer, playing a variety of organs, including the one in Westminster Abbey (!), and taking part in improvisation and technical classes.  Laurie has also been volunteering at a local care home, bringing music to the delighted residents (photos above left and centre).

We were delighted when Laurie won the Staffordshire Young Musician 2026 Young Composer award with a piece entitled O Magnum Mysterium.  The judges praised his accomplished and evocative composition for voices.  Huge congratulations to Laurie on this outstanding achievement (photo above right).
