Choristers sing for HM King Charles III
The Choristers and Choral Scholars had the honour of singing for the visit of His Majesty King Charles III to Lichfield Cathedral during the half term holiday.
King Charles learned about the Fenland Black Oak Table, the 13-metre-long table made from a section of 5,000 year old oak. To celebrate local heritage skills, the King met with groups from across the region, including a collaborative project that is currently creating a 13-metre table runner for the Fenland Table.
The Cathedral Choir performed King of Glory (Disraeli Brown), Locus Iste (Anton Bruckner) and If ye love me (Thomas Tallis) and was joined by the children of Young Voices, one of our MusicShare choirs, who sang a medley of songs.
