Choir Tour a huge success
The Senior Choristers and Choral Scholars of Lichfield Cathedral Choir undertook an extremely well received tour during half term, singing in Durham Cathedral, on Lindisfarne and in Lastingham, following in the footsteps of St Chad.
The tour started with two wonderful days in Durham where the group enjoyed the amazing experience of singing three services at Durham Cathedral. There was also plenty of time to relax and explore Durham city centre, enjoy some retail therapy, play football, climb trees, sight-see and enjoy some treats!
The next stop was Lindisfarne where the Choir sang at the Parish Church of St Mary the Virgin and spent a wonderful day exploring Holy Island. Blessed with good weather, the group spent time on the beach, walked around the island, visited The Priory and finished a full day by singing Compline at St Mary the Virgin Church to a very large congregation. A beautiful sunset on leaving the church topped off a day of blue skies and sunshine.
Many very happy lifelong memories were made during the very successful trip. Well done to everyone involved!
