Children in Need total raised by LCS

Longdon celebrated BBC Children in Need with an indoor Pudsey Run challenge. This marked the end of Anti-Bullying week and work completed in class and assemblies towards using our voices and powers of kindness to become UPSTANDERS rather than bystanders.

Due to the weather, our Run Pudsey event was set up in the hall. Classes from Reception to Year 4 were challenged to complete a set of 25 activities within a set time limit. The children were jumping from benches, completing teddy bear or pencil rolls and hop, skipping or jumping in a shuttle run. All the children worked tirelessly and spurred each other on - some children managed to complete 5 sets, breaking their personal target.

After a busy morning, all the children deserved their Pudsey treat at lunch - a Pudsey shaped biscuit which they decorated themselves with icing and sprinkles. We are so proud of all the children and the money they have raised. Currently, the Longdon total is over £2,600 with more donations coming in from the last minute sponsors.

Meanwhile, pupils and students at the Lichfield campus came to school in pyjamas and fun games and activities at break and lunchtime helped to raise £986.75.

A huge well done to everyone who organised activities and contributed - a fantastic £3,586.75 has been raised!
