Celebrating excellent GCSE results!
Lichfield Cathedral School students are celebrating excellent GCSE results, highlighting the School’s dedication to academic excellence. Across all subjects, 29% of grades were 9-7, with 17% of grades 9-8.
Headteacher Sue Hannam expressed her pride in the students’ success:
“These first-rate results are testament to the students’ hard work and their commitment to all aspects of school life. Individual effort and dedication were key to their success, and they were helped by supportive parents working in partnership with the School. These results are a celebration of all that has been achieved through the combination of high-quality teaching, exceptional pastoral care and being part of a community with a strong ethos of faith and service to others. I look forward to welcoming our students into the Sixth Form in September to continue their academic and personal development.”
Andrew Harrison, Deputy Head, added:
“As a non-selective school, it is particularly rewarding to see students achieve superb GCSE results, and their determination to reach and exceed challenging personal goals is both heart-warming and a credit to their strength of character. An LCS education is fully rounded, with opportunities to develop important skills for life, thus the excellent academic outcomes achieved by our students should be read alongside their wider experience that simply can’t be captured by a set of results.”
Sue Hannam concluded:
“Our outstanding teachers and the supportive, happy learning environment they create are unique to LCS. We are deeply thankful for the talent and unwavering determination of each member of staff, and our amazing governors, to ensure students are well-prepared for the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead in Sixth Form and beyond.”
