Candle Conference for RS students

Year 12 and Year 13 Religious Studies students recently attended a live 'Candle Conference' event with world renowned philosopher Dr Peter Vardy at Worcester Cathedral.

The theme of the day was 'Athens... or Jerusalem' and explored four different areas of philosophical thought. Sessions included faith and reason, arguing for God, religious experience and the nature and attributes of God. As well as getting students excited about the subject, the live event succeeded in enriching and extending their knowledge and understanding. The sessions supported students in analysing, evaluating and making informed, well-reasoned academic judgments.
