Calling all young writers!

Lichfield Festival are looking for budding young writers to create a 'Tiny Story' of up to 300 words on the theme “Growing Tomorrow”. The winning story will be read aloud by Stephen Fry and shown at the Lichfield Literature Festival.

• Open to children aged 7–11
• Maximum 300 words
• Theme: “Growing Tomorrow”
• One entry per child

• Submit your entry and a 50-word biography
• Deadline: Friday 13th February 2026
• We are looking for creativity and storytelling, so spelling, punctuation and grammar are not marked
