Burntwood & Lichfield School Games Football

Just before half term, our U11 football team competed in the second night of the School Games football league. It took places at Lichfield City FC and there were 10 schools (13 teams) taking part. Lichfield were looking to push on and add some more points to their current total from the first evening earlier in the year.

The format was short 7-minute games, which meant we needed to hit the ground running at the start of each game. There was some really good players and teams taking part, but LCS more than held their own and finished the evening playing 6 games, winning 4, drawing 1 and losing 1.

Game 4 - LCS 0-0 St Michael's A
Game 5 - LCS 1-0 St Peter's (Harry F)
Game 6 - LCS 1-0 St Michael's B (Dan Z)
 
A very impressive set of results, only conceding two goals in all six games. It meant that we added 13 points to our total from the first night, and finished in third place overall behind Willows and Ridgeway. A brilliant result and one that all the pupils worked really hard to achieve. Well done.
