Brilliant Winter Fayre at The Palace
The Friends of LCS organised a fantastic Winter Fayre today, filled with exciting activities for children and wonderful stalls full of festive fare!
The Slime Factory had children customising their own gooey slime; the Elf Olympics tested their hand-eye co-ordination trying to knock the Elf off the Shelf alongside precision beanbag throwing; Letters to Santa saw children posting a note to Father Christmas, often illustrated with pictures; and at the Bauble Decorating table, beautiful ceramic creations were made ready to adorn Christmas trees. The Elves helped children to complete the Festive Trail, solving riddles to reveal Santa's wi-fi password!
Stalls included pupil entrepreneurs selling a wide range of goods they had made, including 3D printed decorations, jewellery, vinyl bowls, bath bombs and shower cremes, and more. We welcomed stall holders from the local community selling art, handmade crochet toys and clothes, Molton Brown goodies, jams and chutneys and Christmas puddings. Patty Freaks provided wonderful hot food and The Rock-Its serenaded us with festive songs with a country theme.
A fantastic time was had by all, despite the awful weather, and we're now ready for Christmas! A huge thank you to Chris, Naddy, Barry, Amie and all the parent helpers who have worked so hard to create a truly lovely event.
