Award-winning volunteer!
George's father wanted to share a brief update on the positive impact the Duke of Edinburgh scheme has had on his son.
When George started his Bronze award over a year ago, he secured a volunteering position at the National Memorial Arboretum in Alrewas. He enjoyed the experience so much that he applied for the second young volunteers cohort last year, where he completed the placement winning an award for his storytelling ability, during his final walking tour assessment.

George was recently accepted into the third cohort alongside a few of his fellow volunteers, as part of the NMA's ongoing initiative to invest in future volunteer historians.
