Are you a budding writer?
Staffordshire Libraries have launched their first ever short story competition to celebrate the National Year of Reading. Writers of all ages can enter and the story must feature an aspect of Stafford, be family-friendly and be within a 1500-word limit.
You have until 30 April to submit your work to the library. The judges will include Staffordshire Poet Laureate Scarlett Ward and the Staffordshire Young Poet Laureate Pearl Knight-Dutton.
The winning stories will be published into a compilation book by former Staffordshire poet laureate Mel Wardle Woodend of Dream Well Writing, which will go onto library shelves for people to read and enjoy.
