Action-packed London adventure for Year 8

Year 8 pupils at Harry Potter WorldLast week the Year 8s visited London for three days. We started off on Wednesday by visiting the Harry Potter Studios on the way. Everyone enjoyed looking at the film sets as well as learning about the art of the foley (sound effects in films) in our workshop session.

Thursday was a jam-packed day, beginning at the Tower of London where we saw the real crown jewels, as well as the royal armouries. Next we enjoyed fantastic views across the skyline on the London Eye, before taking a river cruise along the Thames. In the evening we went to the Lyceum Theatre to see the Lion King, which was absolutely breath-taking with all of the beautiful costumes and scenery (and a great soundtrack too).

On the final day, we visited the Science Museum for some hands-on discovery of inventions, computing and other aspects of STEM (including the truly mesmerising gift shop!) before travelling home. It was a brilliant few days away from school and an opportunity to make lasting memories with friends.
