Taster Days

Choosing the right school for your child is a significant decision involving both an emotional and financial investment. Every child is different and it is vital that their school provides the right environment in which they will thrive.

Taster days offer your child the opportunity to immerse themselves in our community to get a proper feel for our warm and friendly School.

It is important that your child spends some time at the School on a normal working day. This will enable them to experience our teaching and learning, get to know the other pupils and get a sense of the geography of the site. We hope that at the end of the day, your son or daughter will know that they will be happy, challenged and supported at the Cathedral School.

An easier start

We offer a series of induction days for children at different stages of the school. Children joining us in Pre-School and Reception are invited to a weekly library visits, where they can choose and book and listen to a storyteller, culminating in a morning visit with their parents. This gentle introduction to the new environment and teaching and support staff encourages children to make new friends and look forward to starting at their new school.

In the summer term, pupils joining us in September are invited to spend a day with their new classmates. Pupils have the chance to form friendships that often blossom over the summer holiday and helps to allay any fears they may have about this next step in their educational journey.

If you would like to arrange a taster day for your child, please contact the Admissions Team on 01543 306168 or complete the enquiry form and we will get in touch with you.
