| The main sports are football, hockey, netball, cricket, rounders, athletics and cross country running, but a variety of other activities, such as tennis, croquet, softball, volleyball, badminton, table tennis and uni-hoc are also included in the curriculum. All pupils have weekly PE lessons and the younger members of the school have swimming tuition at a nearby sports centre. The School also boasts its own heated outdoor pool which all pupils may use during the summer months. |

The School has its own extensive playing fields adjacent to the Palace grounds and there are regular inter-school matches, usually on Wednesday afternoons and occasionally at weekends. It is our aim to include as many children as possible in team games and fixtures.

As well as the open air swimming pool in the Palace grounds, the active Parents' Association built an imaginative adventure playground in 1994 which is located in the historic moat. The playgrounds and the moat (dry!) are supervised throughout the day at the appropriate times so that children can have the freedom to let off steam!

Activities take place every day during the lunch break and after school. The model railway club is a special feature and attracts many pupils, but there is a wide variety including the Young Ornithologists, Croquet, Computer, Chess, Cookery, Book, Cross Stitch, Cricket Nets and Literary Clubs, and many musical activities detailed elsewhere.
