Primary Teacher

Full time role - January 2018

We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated and qualified teacher who has a proven record of accelerating progress and attainment in a junior school environment and is able to transform learning to secure achievement; is committed to delivering high standards of teaching and learning; and is an outstanding classroom practitioner. Ideally, you will have experience of teaching upper KS1 and lower KS2.

As a teacher you will join a thriving team who teach across the age and ability range throughout the school. You will have an ability to build, develop and maintain strong and positive relationships with all students, parents and colleagues alike. All staff are expected to contribute to the wider aspects of school life.

Please note that this is a temporary post for two terms until July 2018. For the right candidate this could lead to a permanent position.

Following the latest excellent ISI Inspection received by the School, we are looking for the right candidate to fill this role to continue to deliver the outstanding education the report reflects.

Learning Support Assistant 

0.5FTE to 0.6FTE depending on exact duties 

January 2018 

We are looking for a dynamic, enthusiastic, well qualified Learning Support Assistant. The role requires flexibility to work across the whole school but the emphasis of this role will likely be on older year groups and will involve supporting students who are preparing for external examinations at GCSE and A level.

The successful candidate will need to have a minimum of NVQ level 3 as an essential requirement. Level 4 would be desirable together with recent and relevant experience of working with senior school age pupils. 

The hours for this position will be 0.5FTE, however, there is also be the opportunity to increase hours slightly with the responsibility of administration for the department, along with a Learning Support Co-ordinator position as part of our Longdon site. This will work in conjunction with Head of Learning Support ensuring all paperwork is in order and will not carry any line management responsibility. Please note that we are also advertising these latter roles internally as well as part of this current vacancy.

School Administrator 

Immediate start available  

We seek to appoint a School Administrator. This role will involve various administration tasks for the school as a whole and will include aspects of PA work, event and school trips co-ordination, school calendar, organisation within various academic departments with regards to contact with parents and assisting teaching staff with their daily requirements.  

Experience of working in a school would be advantageous, but is not a requirement. The successful candidate must have excellent secretarial skills and be familiar and competent with different Microsoft IT packages. You will need to have excellent organisation and planning skills, and the ability to work flexibly within this very busy and varied role. All secretarial staff are required to support the administrative function across the whole school as necessary.
