English Speaking Board

English Speaking Board (ESB) is a national awarding organisation offering qualifications focused on communication skills at school and throughout life.

ESB’s assessments are designed to develop speaking and listening, presentation and critical thinking skills and are tailored to each year group. Tasks are targeted to the National Curriculum. The assessment style is unique with students working with a supportive peer group; all assessment is external but take place within school.

The aim of all the activities throughout the ESB syllabuses is to achieve successful oral communication in English. Students will gain the skills and confidence to express themselves freely in any situation.
