Senior Co-curricular Activities

At Lichfield Cathedral School our co-curricular programme supplements academic work and provides breadth in students’ educational experience. It also offers the opportunity to achieve excellence in many areas.

We are proud of our holistic approach to the education and development of young people and expect all our students to show commitment to this area of School life. The range and provision of the co-curricular programme is first-rate and there are many opportunities for pupils to engage with and enjoy these experiences and associated challenges.

Within the programme there are many openings for personal development, the furtherance of skills and aptitudes and the chance to develop leadership and team-building experiences. The emphasis is on opportunity and variety. Participation and an appetite for challenge on the part of the student is key in providing a breadth of experience and engendering the notion of service.

Some activities take place throughout the academic year, others are a part of the after school programme that changes each term.

Students can take part in sports, music and drama productions and a host of clubs and societies. In addition, qualifications are available through English Speaking Board exams, the Sports Leader Award and the Duke of Edinbugh Award Scheme.
