75th Anniversary


The 27th of January 2017 will mark the 75th anniversary of the founding of St Chad’s School, now known as Lichfield Cathedral School.

The year-long programme of special events will include:

  • Foundation Day Service on Friday 27 January 2017
  • A Service of Celebration in the Cathedral on Sunday 17 September (3.00pm)
  • Speech Day on Saturday 1 July 2017 in Lichfield Cathedral (10.00am to 11.30am)
  • A Summer Ball Celebrating 75 Years on Saturday 1 July (6.30pm)
  • 75 Acts of Kindness - students and staff promise to conduct 75 good deeds throughout our anniversary year. Do you know a deserving local cause that we can help? Contact us.
  • Displays and digital resources to illustrate the history of the school.

We need your memories, photographs and stories

Former pupils and staff are invited to share their memories, photos and stories of life at the School. We have a small archive of material and would welcome any images or information that will help bring the tapestry of thousands of threads that form our community history to life.
